What to Expect on Sundays

When are your services?
We have regular weekly services on Sundays at 9:30am. 

Where are you located?
Our meeting place is at Castaic Elementary School (30455 Park Vista Drive, Castaic, CA 91384), on the corner of Park Vista Dr. and Hillcrest Parkway. 

What do you believe?
Well, in a nutshell, we believe that we're here to bring glory to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We passionately desire to worship Jesus Christ, to instruct and encourage Christians to become like Christ and to share Jesus, our savior and Lord, with the world.  We have summarized our goals into our mission statement: “Hope Christian Church's purpose is to guide believers to Love God, Love People, Serve All and Multiply!”

Should I bring a Bible?
Sure. But if you do not have a Bible, don’t worry…we also include all of the text on the projection screen for your convenience.  We do encourage regular attendees to get accustomed to looking up the scriptures themselves during the service, so if you have one you can bring it!

What should I wear?
We are definitely So-Cal casual at Hope Christian Church!  You are encouraged to come dressed as you feel comfortable. Yeah, we are fairly relaxed, so don’t worry about what you are wearing. 

Where do I go when I get there?
We try to make sure it is easy to find the School by posting signs and placing people outside the school to help you find the multi-purpose room.  At Castaic Elementary, the MPR is at the front of the building, so we enter through the double doors, just to the right of the main office.
 

I like Hope Christian Church, how do I join?
If you are attending regularly, and consider this your church “home,” then you are part of our church family!  Wasn’t that easy?  However, if you want to officially ‘join’ the church as a member, you will need to attend a new member’s class that outlines our beliefs, goals and vision.  Once you complete the class, you can become an official “member.”   

I Want to Be Baptized. What is the process?
Just contact Pastor Kevin!  We can go over the details of when, where, why and how over a cup of coffee!

I would like to get involved. How do I do that?
The best way to get involved at Hope Christian Church is to hang out after service and talk with those who are already serving!  Where ever God is leading you to plug-in at Hope would be awesome!  You can also contact Pastor Kevin for details.

I have kids. What kind of children and youth programs do you offer?
We're here to help you build a foundation of faith in your children. We provide excellent childcare and basic Bible instruction in our Nursery, which serves children from birth to three years during the entire worship service.  Please make sure you fill out the information card about your child’s allergies and include your cell phone number so we can discreetly call you if your child is not settling during the service.
We also offer preschool through 3rd grade Bible study classes during Sunday morning service, and children this age are dismissed after the singing is completed.  
Our older children and youth are part of our morning worship, and they remain in the service for the duration of the morning.  When we break into discussion groups, we have age-specific groups for those in 4th – 6th grade, as well as youth discussion groups for our middle school and high school students.  After the church is better established, we will also have opportunities for youth and children events, mid-week Bible studies, and retreats!
